Last Year Stuff (Unposted)

Remember last year when I started "Picture Post Week" and than it never really went from there. It was supposed to be posts (like stories) with art but I kinda just never thought of stuff that mixed with them, so they kinda drifted into just art posts (however somehow these never ever got posted...Until today!)
So without further ado the lost stuff

*Not sure if I posted this one or not?*

Based off of something My oldest sister Rachel did a long time ago (maybe I'll show ya sometime)

Yeah a long long time ago when I first started writing I wrote this really terribly written story called "The Nurse of the Civil War" I thought I'd rewrite it and post it on my blog "Poetic Meditations" but that never happened.

A random Medieval Girl I drew.

I was really into Ballet growing up and wanted to take lessons so badly but sadly that never happened (people always said I was built more for gymnastics *that didn't happen either thankfully* they never knew how the thought of flipping on a balance beam and the like terrified me!)

Another Story that wasn't to be....
FACT:  This particular piece was a second attempt (because I didn't like how two of the girls turned out!) but I really liked the girl in the middle so I kept her....if you look closely you'll see she isn't quite center with the rest of the blue lines
I cut her pretty thoroughly out of the first one and than glued her onto the second drawing
Also the brown haired girls shoes were cut out and pasted too.

This last one is a bonus, I was going to enter a book cover contests but....it didn't happen because I got lazy and never finished it so here it lays forgotten...until now :)

Sooooo which was your favorite let me know in comments :D

Another for S.

So S. gave us a choice of one of two of her idea's me and Growly decided to take it one step further and go ahead and do both! :) So last time we did her suggestion of a knight fighting a dragon and now we're doing her other! Which is.....A Pegasus!

*Hers* {Growly}
GENDER: Male
NAME: Emberwing
TYPE: Caelestis (rare)
SKILL: Warrior

*Mine*
GENDER: Female
NAME: Lorelei
TYPE:  Cloudsdale
(In the Clydesdale family of horses, slightly stockier, don't fly for long periods of time and make their homes in hidden fields far away from roadsides and populated villages and towns.)
SKILL:  Unknown

What are your idea's? What would your Pegasus be like? This'll kinda be like Storyteller's Dragonmaster Linkup. So you can make up a story to go along with it if you like....and if you guys do this send me the link and I'll....maybe make my own little story

Please put all suggestions in comments, right now we're creating our own race of people ( just like somebody came up with elves, fairies, dwarves...we'll be making up our own!) And when we're done with that we'll get to yours, Please do! The more the merrier :D

Updates and Up-in-the-air-Dates

Yay here I am with more art!
Sorry I've been kinda slow despite I know this'll hold up long enough I just never really got around to it :\
but here's the updates!!!
(in order of appearance)

Yeah, Grace (from MY previous post) and Am are pretty much the same.
*BANG* bangs drawing experience achieved! (excuse the pun)

Doodling before bed...and yes Marmy is the result

Now Lize was fun! I wish I would have videoed drawing her but by the time it occurred to me I was pretty much done; more on that little idea later

Uninspired Scroungings lead to very abstract sketches

Dream Sky was done last year but I don't believe I've ever actually posted it anywhere, however I've always thought it was cute. (You can probably tell it was done last year)

Now UP-in-the-air-DATES
I'm planning a to have all my unposted last year art pieces put on here possibly sometime this week.
But here's the big project and out of the two this is the most "up-in-the-air" I'm going to post an art video of how I draw, the project theme is going to be a surprise (but don't expect to much because it's something simple) and if all works out as planned I should have that done at least by next week...it'll be kinda sped up and have some background music (it's not a tutorial)  but here's something I want to know from you, my lovely readers, Should the music be something with lyrics or without like background music. If it's a lyric song than it probably won't be related to what I'm drawing.

I'll see when I can get that stuff done...leave an answer to my song question in comments I'd love that :D
And also which drawing was your favorite?

Hello, All!

Hellooooo!! :)  My name's Sam, but you can just call me Growly.  I'm new to this blog.  Sarah has invited me to the blog, so I will be posting things here as well.

I love to draw and write.  Both are very fun to do!  Although I do like to write, I'll mainly be posting art.  I might post stories later on (part-by-part style), but for now I will just be posting drawings, both on paper and on computer.

So, for my debut drawing, here is an elf that I drew for one of our challenges:

When I was drawing this elf, I was aiming for him to have a bow and arrow, but by the way his body position was developing, I decided to do a sword and a shield.  The uniform is inspired by uniforms often seen in medieval times.  The pants are baggy...much like a ninja's pants.  The elf also has human height, like the elves you'd find in The Lord of the Rings.

So, there you have it:  my first post here!  Hope you all enjoyed!  I'm also very excited about being a member of this blog, and I look forward to posting more drawings.
